Immerse yourself in the fragrant world of an aromatic and medicinal herbs farm nestled in the picturesque region of Alentejo, Portugal. This experience invites you to explore the sustainable practices of organic farming and gain insights into the use of Portuguese aromatic herbs. The farm is home to a century-old olive grove and more than 45 plant species, each with unique gastronomical and medicinal properties. 

Rute and João will teach you all about traditional harvesting and drying techniques, plucking herbs straight from the garden to smell, taste and make art with. After the farm tour, you’ll join a Cyanotype printmaking workshop (or similar activity in winter) allowing you to take home your own herbarium. Then sit down for a multi-course lunch based on traditional Alentejo recipes under a shady ash tree or in the cozy greenhouse.

The visit will begin by explaining the organic production method and the agricultural practices used in the farm. As visitors stroll by, they are invited to collect plants to smell and taste, whilst Rute talks about its medicinal properties and culinary uses. After touring the garden, we will visit the natural drying greenhouse, the plant processing room and finally the packaging and storage area. Then, the visitor will learn how to make a herbarium using the Cyanotype technique (or similar activity in winter). Afterwards, there will be a tasting in the middle of the field in a shady spot, of all the products produced on the farm. Fresh aromatic infusions, goat cheese from Alentejo with our endemic thyme (accompanied by our typical Alentejo bread), our honey, our Extra Virgin Olive Oil and our Penny royal or Lemon grass liqueurs.

Join a Chilean chef and restaurateur in this immersive and authentic culinary journey in Santiago, Chile. To start, Cristian "Tatán" Mellado will walk you through Santiago's meat, fresh produce, and fish markets while explaining their history. This is a food-and-neighborhood experience through Istanbul, tracing the daily routes locals take every day. It begins at the Spice Bazaar, where shelves of saffron, sumac, and dried figs recall the city’s trading past. From there, you’ll board a ferry across the Bosphorus and explore three villages on the Asian side—each with its own rhythm.

In Üsküdar, snack on street simit and stuffed mussels while browsing produce stands that locals frequent. Then hop into a dolmuş (mini-bus) to reach Çengelköy, a waterfront village known for its pickled cucumbers, tea gardens, and hillside lanes. From there, head to Kuzguncuk, where wooden houses lean into each other and synagogues sit beside churches. At every stop, you’ll sample what’s fresh: gözleme off the griddle, olives, cheeses, pickles, baklava, and tea. The route ends in a family-run café, tucked behind grapevines. You'll get a taste of the local commute—eating your way through 4 neighborhoods while hopping between ferries and minibuses.

Ribeira & Barredo Quarter

You can't spend holidays in Barcelona without also visiting the Sagrada Familia. It's probably the city's biggest attraction – and for a good reason. 

La Sagrada, a Roman Catholic church, dates back to the 19th century but is still under construction (some expect it to be finished by 2026, but in my view, 2030 is a safer bet). We opted for a walking tour to the monumental building with high pinnacles, numerous squiggles, and 3-dimensional interior design. Later, during the tour, we discovered the works of art by Sagrada’s architect Gaudi, including Casa Batllo and Casa Mila (La Pedrera). 

The Sagrada Familia is located a little northeast of the city center and is easily reached by metro, bus, or cab. We stayed about 5 hours in this part of the city – as we visited not only the church but also the surrounding area and had some fresh fish to eat in the nearby restaurants. You’ll also find many souvenirs – including miniature La Sagradas, a great gift to bring home!

Patagonia – the land where the earth ends – must be one of the most unique places to visit in this world. I definitely felt this way, when I visited the glaciers, mountains, and rivers around. It’s a stunning place, and even though it’s quite hard to get there, the whole trip is completely worthwhile.

Patagonian hares, hawks, red foxes, geese, black-necked swans, flamingos, woodpeckers, skunks, pumas, condors, and the near extinct huemul deer – this place is for nature lovers. We’ve spent 1 month in Patagonia, exploring the fauna and flora, zipping warm chocolate next to the chimney of our bed and breakfast, and breathing the fresh air.

Save packing lightly for another trip – visiting the snowy landscape in Southern Argentina, you want to come as prepared as possible. Scarves, gloves, a winter jacket, boots, and lots of exchange clothes are a must.

There’s not much that has changed in this Square in its millennium of existence. 

Here’s a non-exhaustive list of what you’ll find: Percussionists, Acrobats, Fortune-tellers, Conjurers, Gnawa musicians, Henna tattoo artists, Food Vendors, Snake charmers, Potion peddlers, Un-winnable carnival games. 

As dusk settles over Marrakech, look up at the sky. Follow the direction of what looks like a bonfire of epic proportions. When you manage to edge past the thousands of people, you realize it’s only smoke from kebabs and snails at over a hundred barbecue stalls, staffed by some of the busiest chefs and unflappable crews you’ll ever see.

Look around the Square and locate a restaurant with a balcony. Buy a glass of mint tea and grab a coveted plastic chair at the edge of the balcony to see the grand view of the world’s largest human tableau play out below.

Each year, over 2 million wildebeest, zebras and antelope migrate from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Maasai Mara in Kenya in search of water and fresh grazing . Experiencing this during July-October is an absolute spectacle.

The Mara Triangle is particularly great for watching river crossings in August and September - perilous for the animals as the river is packed with wily Nile crocodiles.

We stay with this herd of zebras for 3 days - waiting for them to decide to cross. It’s a matter of life and death for them - so they are understandably cautious  The zebra get to the banks more than 20 times, giving up at the very last minute, often spooked by a territorial hippo or a sneaky crocodile.

Finally, a brave zebra leaps forward into the water. And a second one follows fast. Suddenly it’s mayhem with hundreds of zebras and wildebeest splashing into the river.

Hidden in the High Atlas Mountains, Telouet Kasbah is a stunning yet often-overlooked fortress that once served as the stronghold of the powerful El Glaoui family. Built in the 19th century along an ancient caravan route, this kasbah was a symbol of wealth and influence, adorned with intricate zellij tilework, carved cedar ceilings, and grand courtyards. Though partly in ruins, its lavishly decorated interior and dramatic mountain backdrop make it one of Morocco’s most fascinating historical sites.

1. A maze of richly decorated rooms reveals intricate zellij tiles, cedarwood carvings, and painted ceilings, showcasing the grandeur of Moroccan craftsmanship and the kasbah’s former glory.

2. A rooftop terrace with panoramic views overlooks the rugged Ounila Valley, where the contrast between the kasbah’s fading splendor and the surrounding mountains creates a breathtaking scene.

3. A history of power and betrayal surrounds the kasbah, once home to Thami El Glaoui, the "Lord of the Atlas," whose alliance with the French led to his exile after Moroccan independence.

4. A scenic drive along the Ounila Valley winds through red rock canyons, Berber villages, and lush oases, making the journey as captivating as the destination.

5. A quieter alternative to Ait Benhaddou offers a peaceful experience where visitors can explore the fortress’s hidden corners and ornate interiors without large crowds.

Tips for Visiting
The best time to visit is spring (March–May) or autumn (September–November) for pleasant temperatures. Hiring a local guide provides deeper insight into the kasbah’s rich history. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended for the scenic but bumpy road leading to the site. Bringing a camera is essential to capture the kasbah’s detailed interiors and stunning mountain views.

Trieste, Italy, is home to the awe-inspiring Grotta Gigante, one of the largest accessible caves in the world. Hidden beneath the rugged Karst Plateau, this natural wonder boasts a colossal underground chamber measuring 98 meters high, 76 meters wide, and 167 meters long. The sheer size and grandeur of the cave make it a paradise for geology lovers, adventurers, and photographers alike. With its dramatic stalactites, towering stalagmites, and mesmerizing rock formations, Grotta Gigante offers a breathtaking journey into the depths of the Earth.

1. Inside the cave, an enormous underground hall creates a jaw-dropping spectacle, with cathedral-like dimensions that earned Grotta Gigante a spot in the Guinness World Records as the largest show cave in the world open to tourists.

2. Stunning stalactites and stalagmites, formed over millions of years, decorate the cave, some reaching several meters in height. The eerie, otherworldly formations make for incredible photography.
