What is this?
Uncover the revolutionary spirit of Gràcia, one of Barcelona’s most distinctive neighborhoods, on this private walking tour. Once an independent town, Gràcia was the site of numerous uprisings throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. Your journey begins at Plaça Lesseps, where you’ll explore one of Barcelona’s most significant revolts: La Setmana Tràgica. From there, you’ll follow your host through Gràcia’s charming plazas, hearing stories of key uprisings like the 1870 Revolta de les Quintes and visiting the very sites where these armed conflicts took place.
At the legendary Plaça del Diamant, Josep will share insights into the devastating impact of the Spanish Civil War on the neighborhood, along with the literature it inspired. The scars of history are still visible in this square today. To end the tour, you'll indulge in fresh oysters and wine at a top-tier fish bar loved by locals. Join us for a walk through revolution and resilience—right into the heart of Gràcia.
