Falls of Gold at Capo Nieddu

This is a photo walk to watch the sunset over the sea, while birds fly over the cliffs. The easy path winds along the coast to a panoramic viewpoint offering a stunning view of the Capo Nieddu waterfall—the only one in Sardinia that flows directly into the sea. As the sun sets, you'll see the landscape transform: golden light paints the cliffs and the sea. An expert photographer will offer advice on how to capture the beauty of nature through your lens. In a slow-paced walk, you can enjoy the view without rushing, taking breaks to contemplate the sea and the majestic waterfall. You’ll savor a picnic featuring traditional Sardinian products, including carasau bread, local cheeses, cured meats, and a glass of Cannonau wine. When the sun disappears on the horizon, leaving the sky ablaze with orange and pink hues, the magical blue hour begins. You'll pause for a meditative moment, listening to the sound of water and wind, before returning to the starting point under the starry sky.

THIS EXPERIENCE IS AVAILABLE ONLY FROM JANUARY TO APRIL, WHEN THE CAPO NIEDDU WATERFALL COMES TO LIFE. During the rainy season (January to April), the Capo Nieddu waterfall plunges directly into the sea 40 meters down a steep cliff, creating a breathtaking spectacle. Standing on the cliff in a wild landscape, you'll feel connected to nature as the wind dances between the rocks—a truly mesmerizing experience. Massimiliano will lead you to the lesser-known viewpoints, turning the walk into an exciting adventure. As an expert photographer, he will share techniques and angles to help you capture extraordinary shots. You will enjoy a picnic featuring crunchy carasau bread, local cheeses, cured meats, and a glass of Cannonau red wine, while waiting for the blue hour to photograph the sunset, before heading back under a starlit sky. By the end of the experience, you’ll take home unforgettable memories along with stunning images crafted with professional guidance.

After graduating at University Paris 8 in Photography, he began working as a photojournalist and lived in Tuscany and Paris before moving to Sardinia in 2011 with Eva, and co-founding Ora Blu Lab, to offer experiences connecting people with Sardinia's beauty by blending art, nature, and authentic Sardinian life, characterized by community bonds and genuine hospitality.
