Nestled in the heart of Santorini’s charming Megalochori village, this immersive experience takes place in a restored 1950s cave house—dug into volcanic rock and full of character. Hosts Paula and George welcome you into their “stone kitchen” to roll up your sleeves and take part in a hands-on preparation of a classic Greek feast, side by side with your hosts.

Guided by Paula and George, you’ll chop, roll, stir, and season while learning the stories behind time-honored recipes, from tzatziki to tomato fritters to melt-in-your-mouth main dishes. The menu changes with the seasons, and so does the energy—it’s part cooking lesson, part gathering.

As the aromas of your creations fill the air, the session culminates in a communal meal enjoyed under a pergola. The flavors of your labor are paired with local wines, creating connections and unforgettable memories. Japan

This experiential tour introduces you to two of Kyoto’s most refined cultural and multi-sensorial heritages — incense and green tea — experienced side by side. At an aroma atelier, you’ll select natural ingredients that reflect your favorite scents and knead them into incense balls, a craft practiced since the Heian era. You’ll also assemble a simple burner from Kyoto-produced wood to take home. Along the way, you’ll handle and compare the fragrant materials used in kōdō — the “Way of Incense,” - and learn why Japanese incense is gently heated rather than burned to preserve its layered fragrance. 

Continue to a tea salon for a guided tasting of several teas paired with seasonal sweets, learning how aroma defines Kyoto’s tea culture. You’ll compare tea profiles, and see how water temperature and steep time shift sweetness, umami and astringency. Along the way, stop at specialty shops offering incense sachets, cases, and tea bowls, and contemporary creations that reinterpret tradition. 

Most travelers encounter tea or incense separately; this experience reveals the cultural dialogue between kōdō (the Way of Incense) and chadō (the Way of Tea). Food and aroma coordinator Ayumi Ikushima explains how incense prepares the space and the senses for tea — from room-scenting blends to the quiet focus required to “listen” to incense. The route mixes well-known episodes with those locals inherit as childhood lore.

When asked about his love for Lisbon, Tiago’s enthusiasm is immediate: “I love my city! I really love the historic center of Lisbon!” Though he didn’t always feel that way. Growing up on the city’s outskirts, it wasn’t until returning after time abroad that he saw it anew. “It was as a young and independent adult with an arts and architecture degree, and with the enthusiasm to explore — that I realized how beautiful, diverse, and interesting my city is.”
For Tiago, connecting with a culture means full immersion. “You have to experience it with open eyes, heart, and mind,” he says. That means talking to locals, walking unfamiliar routes, listening more than looking. “Lisbon isn’t just to be seen, but touched, smelled, and tasted.” It’s not a checklist—it’s a presence.
He also names two challenges: First, Lisbon’s historic neighborhoods are deeply distinct—each like its own mini-city. “Lisbon is multidimensional. It cannot—and should not—be rushed.” Second, mass tourism threatens the local character he cherishes. Responsible travel, he says, is essential to preserve the culture.
As tourism evolves, Tiago points toward Lisbon’s under-known strengths. “Gastronomy, street art, tiles, contemporary architecture… there’s so much more to discover!”

 “Tourism has definitely changed things,” she admits. “Places like La Rambla are overcrowded. Many locals have been pushed out by the rise in tourist rentals. But Catalans are proud of their traditions. They’ve started resisting these changes to preserve the city’s character.” That character is what Manila has grown to love. “I chose Barcelona because I felt an immediate connection. The Mediterranean lifestyle, the weather, the proximity to mountains and sea — it feels like home but also stretches me outside my comfort zone.” She relishes the contrast to her native Sicily. “I can take a train and be skiing in the Pyrenees in just over an hour. Where else do you get that?”

With 25+ years of crafting Jamaican traditional meals, Chef Chris gained fame when Anthony Bourdain showcased his skills on "Parts Unknown" in 2014. 

From the moment we stepped into the Cook Shop, all our senses were engaged. The local scenes, the staff busy with their preparation and the aromas from the kitchen. But it was Chris's warm welcome that made the experience truly unforgettable. We chopped, marinated, and grilled under his guidance, learning the art of his signature jerk chicken and curry goat.
