This 3-km walk, suitable for all fitness levels, takes you through charming cobblestone alleys and stepped roads, flanked by medieval walls. Acronafplia is the oldest of Nafplio’s fortifications, with layers built by the Byzantines, Franks, Venetians, and Ottomans—so you'll walk through centuries of history.

Along the way, you’ll enjoy stunning panoramic views of the Argolic Gulf and pass through a "forest" of prickly pears. Rita Zidikou was born in Thessaloniki, Northern Greece, but she now lives in Nafplio with her family. She works as a drama educator for children, and her passion for nature has inspired her to integrate outdoor activities into her work. Having trained as a mountain guide, she now balances her time between the arts, education, hiking, nature play, and creating unique experiences.

Sofia Kougia is a Kung Fu Master, Tai Chi instructor, and certified yoga teacher. She also leads meditation sessions and practices Qi Gong, providing her students with a wellness experience centered around ancient practices she has studied and explored for years. Sofia has studied Sociology and was awarded world champion status with the Greek National Kung Fu team in 2008.

Argentina

This 3-hour asado experience in Mendoza isn't a show, it's a rare opportunity to peek into how local families really live—and as you'll discover for yourself—food is at the forefront of the lifestyle. After being collected from your hotel, Julieta will take you to her usual neighborhood wine stores and local markets to pick up the essentials. As Julieta will tell you, part of the fun is choosing together.

Once at Julieta's home, you will partake in Argentina’s most iconic gathering: the family asado. Previa comes first— where drinks, snacks, and conversation are shared as music plays. Together, you will prepare the meat, chop the veggies, and sip wine while the embers do their thing. And after that? You will take it easy over the sacred ritual of sobremesa concluding with coffee, Fernet, and a homemade dessert. There is no idling around, no spectating, and absolutely no being waited on at this asado hosted at the private home of your host, Julieta. Tokyo is a city that has been razed and rebuilt many times, by both manmade and natural disasters. On your final morning, you’ll likely rise early—if you do, step outside to see Mount Toubkal lit by sunrise, a quiet reminder of where you’ve just been. After a warm, local breakfast, you’ll make the gentle descent back to Imlil, retracing familiar trails through the valley. Once in Imlil, you can pause to rest or meet your driver for the return to Marrakesh (organize the return trip with your Marrakesh home, it's not included in this experience). 

This closing stretch offers a soft, thoughtful end to your journey. The morning light, a simple and tasty Berber breakfast, and the familiar rhythm of the trail give you time to reflect. If you’re heading back to Marrakesh, please organize with your hotel to pick you up in Imlil. It’s a smooth return—both physically and mentally—from the mountains to the city.

Summit day begins before sunrise with a steady, demanding ascent from the refuge to the top of Mount Toubkal, which rises to 4,167 meters—the highest point in North Africa. At the summit, you’ll stand above the High Atlas, with sweeping views over the Marrakech plains and, on clear mornings, the edge of the Sahara.

After the summit climb in the early morning, you’ll make a gradual descent down to the village of Aremd. You’ll arrive by the afternoon—early enough to rest, recover, and take in the views of the mountain you just climbed. You’ll stay the night in a simple and rustic but comfortable Berber guesthouse, with a private room/double/family room with a member of your party (based on your preference), each with its own ensuite bathroom. These are simple and modest, comfortable and safe lodgings. 

This final night gives you space to absorb the full experience. From the guesthouse terrace, you’ll see Toubkal from below—quiet and distant now. You’ll have a chance to walk through the village, meet local residents, and maybe visit the village hammam. Dinner is a warm, home-cooked meal—flavorful, generous, and made from local ingredients. The pace is slower, the conversation flows, and your connection to this landscape deepens in a quieter, more personal way.

Descent & Berber Village Stay

After a full day of ascent, you’ll reach the Toubkal Refuge—your base at 3,200 meters before summit day. You’ll break for a picnic lunch en route or stop for a warm meal in a Berber home, then continue to the refuge. Here, you’ll settle into a private/double room, depending on the group's needs (please share this with Ahmed after booking), and enjoy a proper dinner to refuel and acclimatize for the climb ahead.

Most trekkers sleep in dorm-style bunk rooms with shared bathrooms at the Toubkal Refuge, often alongside 10–20 others—conditions that don’t support privacy, comfort, or restful sleep. In contrast, this experience includes a private / double room shared only within your group, based on your preference, each with an ensuite bathroom. It’s a quieter, more restorative way to spend the night at altitude. Keep in mind, however, that these are simple and modest rooms. In rare situations when all private rooms are booked out, Ahmed will arrange private/double tents for your party -- these are comfortable, safe and provide a peaceful night's sleep (in this case, the bathrooms at the refuge will be used.)

Meals are freshly prepared and more generous than the standard dorm fare, with a focus on nourishment and recovery. 

This high-altitude pause isn’t just practical—it allows your body to adjust, improves your summit chances, and offers rare stillness under the stars of the High Atlas.

This private 90-minute mezcal tasting is designed for first-timers curious about agave spirits, as well as longtime fans seeking a short, deeply rooted way to gain new appreciation. Andrea — an anthropologist and longtime resident of Coyoacán with family roots in Guerrero — begins with a brief walk near her studio in a neighborhood shaped by the encounter of colonial and Indigenous cultures — the roots from which mezcal emerged.

Back at her studio, you’ll taste three distinct mezcals from Guerrero, each carefully selected by Andrea. As you sip, she shares the cultural context behind each variety — from the agave species to traditional distillation methods. You’ll learn how to “kiss” the mezcal, as Spanish speakers say — a slow, attentive tasting style that reveals each glass’s unique character. Each mezcal is paired with locally inspired bites, drawing on the Guerrero heritage Andrea brings to both her cooking and design, and curated to enhance and echo the complexity of the spirits.

Carnevale in Mamoiada (February 15 and 17, 2026) immerses you in the rich culture of Sardinia’s festivities. The decorated streets of this ancient village come alive with haunting rhythms of cowbells, hypnotic movements of dancers, and tradition preserved through centuries: it’s a celebration of history, mythology and community.

THIS EXPERIENCE IS LIMITED TO FOUR PARTICIPANTS ON 15 and 17 FEBRUARY, 2026.

You will watch the Mamuthones, cloaked in black sheepskins with grotesque wooden masks, moving in slow, ritualistic dances. Meanwhile, the Issohadores, with vibrant red shirts and white masks, wield lassos to capture the dancers (and spectators!).

Your day includes exploring the local museum to uncover the origins and craftsmanship of these iconic masks, savoring a Sardinian lunch featuring local delicacies, and and gaining exclusive access to the courtyard where Carnevale characters don their costumes and cowbells before joining the parade.

Take your Japanese culinary experience to the next level in this workshop that allows you to participate in the preparation of a three-course, home-cooked meal. Far from the elaborate kaiseki meals that can be prepared only by chefs who have spent years honing their skills, Mami, a local chef and pâtissier, guides you in creating a simple yet heartfelt meal that you can learn to prepare in your own home using local, seasonal ingredients. The dishes include a vegetable dish, a fish dish, and a sushi; the actual ingredients will change with the seasons.

Set in a stylish century-old liquor shop, you’ll also enjoy several types of Japanese sake that will be paired with each course. As the entire experience is conducted only in Japanese, your host Eric, using his own background as a Kyoto-based chef, will explain the details throughout your time here. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into the traditional Japanese approach to food, built on harmony, seasonality and visual presentation. 

This experience offers rare insight into everyday Kyoto cuisine. Chef Mami walks you through each step of a seasonal three-course meal, explaining how the average Kyoto resident selects ingredients, balances flavors, and adapts to what’s available. You’ll gain an understanding of how Kyoto’s food culture reflects subtle shifts in season and regional sensibility.

You’ll not only get to enjoy a home-cooked Japanese meal prepared by an experienced chef but also take part in the preparation of each dish. You’ll acquire valuable skills that enable you to prepare these simple dishes at home and learn how to plate and present them from the perspective of a Japanese chef. Preparing these foods on your own in the future will bring back the wonderful memories of your time spent in Kyoto.

In this hands-on experience, you will learn to prepare three Japanese dishes. 

After choosing your welcome drink. Chef Mami will give a short talk on Japanese home cooking. 

The first dish will be a vegetable appetizer, usually a boiled or tossed dish. The second dish will involve fish, while the last will be a sushi dish (tenmari or maki). These are all classic home cooked dishes in Japan. 

Three sake pairings (or drinks of your choice) are included.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Eric has been living in Kyoto for over 22 years. He first came to Kyoto to complete his Master’s degree in Japanese Art History and has worked as a teacher and translator. Since 2022, he has been running a monthly pop-up restaurant, serving Cantonese-inspired dishes. Well connected with the art and culinary communities in Kyoto, he is eager to share this wonderful city with visitors.

Dubrovnik, Croatia, is home to Mount Srđ, a scenic hill rising 412 meters (1,352 feet) above the city, offering panoramic views of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, the Adriatic Sea, and the Elaphiti Islands. A historically significant site, Mount Srđ played a crucial role during the Siege of Dubrovnik in the Croatian War of Independence and is now home to the Homeland War Museum. Whether you hike up, take the cable car, or drive, reaching the summit is a rewarding experience for nature lovers and photographers alike.

1. At the summit, breathtaking views of Dubrovnik’s terracotta rooftops and the deep blue Adriatic Sea make this one of the best photography spots in Croatia, especially at sunset.

2. The Dubrovnik Cable Car, a quick and scenic way to reach the top, offers stunning aerial views of the coastline and nearby islands on the way up.

3. The Homeland War Museum, located inside Fort Imperial, provides a moving exhibition about the Siege of Dubrovnik (1991–1992) and Croatia’s fight for independence.

Mount Srđ

If you want to explore Spain on foot, you should definitely set out on one of the pilgrimage routes through the country. All routes lead to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, which is located in the northwest. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Camino de Santiago has been named a central point of cultural exchange – and a historical highlight that shows what medieval Spain looked like. We chose to follow the famous Camino Frances. The original 800km route takes 5 weeks, but we decided to get in a little later, we only had 11 days, and opted for the route starting in the Galician town of Sarria. Along the way, you'll meet many other tourist pilgrims, but you'll also be able to immerse yourself in the local culture and taste Spain's best delicacies (tapas, seafood, and Spanish Serrano ham). Be prepared for a lot of walking – and take the best walking boots you have. We’ve enjoyed every minute, but some people we met had the wrong equipment, complaining about blisters.

The “French” pilgrimage route

Granada, Spain, is home to the Museo Cuevas del Sacromonte, an open-air museum that offers a fascinating glimpse into the traditional cave dwellings of the Sacromonte district. 1 - Dominating Milan's skyline, the Duomo's 135 spires, including the iconic Madonnina spire, create a stunning silhouette. The Madonnina, a polychrome sculpture created by Giuseppe Perego in 1762, rests atop the tallest spire at a breathtaking height of 108 meters. 
2 - Il Duomo is adorned with over 3,400 statues, the largest collection on any building globally. Notable is the statue of the Madonnina covered in 3,900 pieces of gold leaf. Inside, the vast interior can hold up to 40,000 visitors, with enormous stone pillars and niches housing a staggering 3,159 images.

Patagonia – the land where the earth ends – must be one of the most unique places to visit in this world. I definitely felt this way, when I visited the glaciers, mountains, and rivers around. It’s a stunning place, and even though it’s quite hard to get there, the whole trip is completely worthwhile.

Patagonian hares, hawks, red foxes, geese, black-necked swans, flamingos, woodpeckers, skunks, pumas, condors, and the near extinct huemul deer – this place is for nature lovers. We’ve spent 1 month in Patagonia, exploring the fauna and flora, zipping warm chocolate next to the chimney of our bed and breakfast, and breathing the fresh air.

Save packing lightly for another trip – visiting the snowy landscape in Southern Argentina, you want to come as prepared as possible. Scarves, gloves, a winter jacket, boots, and lots of exchange clothes are a must.
