This is a 2.5-hour introduction to the land, craft, and wines of a family-run estate in the Aquitaine countryside. This six-hour tour moves through Kyoto’s eastern districts, connecting a series of temples, streets, and spaces that reflect the city’s changing aesthetics and philosophies. It begins at Ginkaku-ji, where the idea of wabi-sabi — imperfection, transience, restraint — shaped how Japan thought about beauty. From there, you follow a canal path once walked by philosopher Nishida Kitaro, passing smaller temples and homes that remain part of Kyoto daily life.

You’ll visit a major Zen complex, see a 19th-century brick aqueduct that cuts through temple grounds, and step inside a museum holding centuries-old screen paintings, protected as National Treasures. Along the way is a seasonal lunch rooted in Kyoto’s vegetable-forward cuisine.

It’s an essential stop for wine enthusiasts eager to taste some of Spain’s finest DOQ Priorat and DO Montsant wines, as well as for travelers seeking a relaxing, authentic Catalan experience.


1. Wine Tourism: Visit renowned wineries like Celler de Capçanes and Clos Mogador for tours and tastings of Garnacha and Cariñena wines, famous for their rich, full-bodied character.

Falset

Australia

The Great Barrier Reef is famous not only because it is the largest coral reef in the ocean, but also because it is the most beautiful one. For those who like snorkeling or diving, an unsurpassable underwater world opens up.

My highlight in Australia was definitely the day trip to the reef. From Cairns, we took the tourist boat out to sea. Since the water is relatively cold, you get a wetsuit and then have hours to discover the unique underwater world.

I saw sharks, turtles, huge colorful corals, man-sized fish, thousands of small schools of fish, a clam, rays, snails, and lots of underwater plants.

Remember that you are a trespasser in the underwater world, so be careful not to touch or destroy anything. Use organic sunscreen and always be respectful of your surroundings.

The world’s largest reef

Home to Mount Toubkal (4,167m), North Africa’s highest peak, Toubkal National Park is a breathtaking destination for nature lovers, hikers, and adventure seekers. Located just 70 km from Marrakech, the park boasts dramatic mountain landscapes, deep valleys, and traditional Berber villages. Whether you're trekking to the summit or exploring scenic trails, Toubkal National Park offers an unforgettable escape into Morocco’s rugged wilderness.

Mexico City, Mexico, is home to the sprawling Chapultepec Park (Bosque de Chapultepec), one of the largest urban parks in the world and a green oasis in the heart of the city. At its heart stands the magnificent Chapultepec Castle, perched atop Chapultepec Hill and offering panoramic views of the city’s skyline. The park is rich with history, museums, monuments, and tranquil lakes, making it a must-visit destination for nature lovers, history buffs, and photographers alike.

1. Chapultepec Castle is the only royal castle in the Americas, featuring opulent rooms, sweeping balconies, and murals by famous Mexican artists like Juan O’Gorman.

2. The National Museum of History inside the castle showcases artifacts from Mexico’s imperial era, the Mexican Revolution, and the country’s colonial past.
