On this experience, you’ll visit the family’s workshop and mulberry orchard to learn about the cyclical process of silk production—from raising the worms to spinning, weaving, and creating natural dyes. You’ll try your hand at spinning, browse the family’s unique and beautiful creations, and learn about the importance of this process to both the family livelihood and legacy.

Tokyo is a city that has been razed and rebuilt many times, by both manmade and natural disasters. Then, delve into the lagoon's tranquil sandbanks, where Andrea will unveil the secrets of the lagoon's diverse bird species, and the aromatic plants that have been used in Venetian cuisine for centuries and are still employed by contemporary Venetian chefs to create unique dishes and liqueurs.  You will have plenty of opportunities for photos and foraging. At the end of the tour, Andrea will drop you off near the Burano traghetto stop. From Venice to Burano, it's a 20-25 minute ride by private water taxi (can be booked via your hotel) or a 45 minute ride on the public vaporetto (runs from 5 AM onwards, check exact time with hotel).

You'll discover the flora and fauna of the Venetian lagoon by following unique itineraries known only to local fishermen, far from the typical tourist routes. This creative photography experience in Buenos Aires is designed for newbie photography enthusiasts, those with existing knowledge about composition, and advanced photographers seeking ways to improve their cityscape and landscape photography. The locations are a variety of rooftop settings with remarkable views of the city, many of which are not known by tourists or are even off-limits to the average sightseer. 

During the course of the route, you will take in a panoramic view of Puerto Madero, Corrientes Avenue, and its Obelisk from an exclusive rooftop perch. You will soak up 360-degree views of Florida Avenue and the beautiful domes of May Avenue from a 14-floor aerial viewpoint. Growing up in Buenos Aires, Gisela Vidal danced her first tango at the age of 14. From there, she trained extensively in Tango Salon and Tango Stage style with the finest Argentinian Masters. Besides tango, Gisela has studied contemporary dance, jazz, belly dance, ballet, Argentine folk, and salsa. She has undertaken further tuition in theater and film acting, mime and clown art, and singing.

Gisela has participated in international tango festivals and major events including the opening of the Dakar 2009 in Buenos Aires. She was the choreographer and a stunt dancer for the Tango Infedele Video Clip.

When asked about his love for Lisbon, Tiago’s enthusiasm is immediate: “I love my city! I really love the historic center of Lisbon!” Though he didn’t always feel that way. Growing up on the city’s outskirts, it wasn’t until returning after time abroad that he saw it anew. “It was as a young and independent adult with an arts and architecture degree, and with the enthusiasm to explore — that I realized how beautiful, diverse, and interesting my city is.”
For Tiago, connecting with a culture means full immersion. “You have to experience it with open eyes, heart, and mind,” he says. That means talking to locals, walking unfamiliar routes, listening more than looking. “Lisbon isn’t just to be seen, but touched, smelled, and tasted.” It’s not a checklist—it’s a presence.
He also names two challenges: First, Lisbon’s historic neighborhoods are deeply distinct—each like its own mini-city. “Lisbon is multidimensional. It cannot—and should not—be rushed.” Second, mass tourism threatens the local character he cherishes. Responsible travel, he says, is essential to preserve the culture.

Opened in June 2020, it's a relatively new addition to Madrid's cultural scene but has quickly become a must-visit destination. This museum is part of the global Museum of Illusions chain, celebrated for its mind-bending and interactive exhibits. Top highlights:
1. The museum houses an array of artworks, interactive displays, and holograms that challenge your perception of reality. Featuring works by artists specializing in optical illusions, including Salvador Dali and M.C. Escher, it's a place that bewilders and amuses in equal measure.

The Costa Smeralda, or “Emerald Coast,” is Sardinia’s most glamorous and scenic stretch of coastline, renowned for its turquoise waters, pristine beaches, and luxurious resorts. Located in the northeast of the island, this 55-kilometer paradise is a favorite destination for celebrities and travelers seeking a mix of natural beauty and upscale charm. With hidden coves, sparkling seas, and vibrant nightlife, Costa Smeralda is a must-see destination that epitomizes Sardinian elegance. 
1. The beaches are breathtaking, with famous spots like Spiaggia del Principe, Capriccioli, and Liscia Ruja offering white sand and crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming and sunbathing. 
2. The luxurious town of Porto Cervo is the heart of Costa Smeralda, known for its high-end boutiques, fine dining, and glamorous marina filled with superyachts. 
3. The area is rich in hidden coves and bays, offering quieter spots for those seeking tranquility amidst the coastline’s natural splendor. 
4. Water activities, such as snorkeling, diving, and sailing, are popular here, thanks to the pristine waters and vibrant marine life. 
5. The nearby Maddalena Archipelago, a national park of stunning islands, is easily accessible by boat and provides a perfect day trip for nature lovers.

Jamaica

Jake’s is a Jamaican treasure. In fact, where it’s located is actually called Treasure Beach. 

Getting there from Montego Bay Airport takes a full two and a half hours on rough country roads - more than three if you stop at the jerk chicken place as we did. We stayed in a colorful bohemian cottage on the sea and tasted our first Ackee and Codfish - Jamaica’s breakfast dish - here. 

The evenings are for crooning to live music - reggae or calypso — before falling asleep to the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks literally at your feet.

Music in the Air

You can't spend holidays in Barcelona without also visiting the Sagrada Familia. It's probably the city's biggest attraction – and for a good reason. 

La Sagrada, a Roman Catholic church, dates back to the 19th century but is still under construction (some expect it to be finished by 2026, but in my view, 2030 is a safer bet). We opted for a walking tour to the monumental building with high pinnacles, numerous squiggles, and 3-dimensional interior design. Later, during the tour, we discovered the works of art by Sagrada’s architect Gaudi, including Casa Batllo and Casa Mila (La Pedrera). 

The Sagrada Familia is located a little northeast of the city center and is easily reached by metro, bus, or cab. We stayed about 5 hours in this part of the city – as we visited not only the church but also the surrounding area and had some fresh fish to eat in the nearby restaurants. You’ll also find many souvenirs – including miniature La Sagradas, a great gift to bring home!

Walking Tour: Sagrada Familia

Buenos Aires, Argentina, is home to Café Tortoni, the oldest and most famous café in the city, dating back to 1858. Steeped in history and belle époque charm, this legendary café has welcomed writers, artists, and political figures, including Jorge Luis Borges and Carlos Gardel. 2. Historic ambiance, with ornate chandeliers, art-covered walls, and an elegant 19th-century interior that transports visitors back in time.

3. Live tango performances in an intimate backroom, where visitors can experience the soul of Buenos Aires’ most famous dance.

4. Famous clientele, including Jorge Luis Borges, Federico García Lorca, and Carlos Gardel, whose presence is honored in various photos and sculptures inside the café.

5. Authentic porteño atmosphere, where locals and tourists alike gather to enjoy leisurely conversations over coffee and pastries.

Visitor Tip: Arrive early in the morning or late at night to avoid long queues. For a full experience, book a tango show in advance and pair it with a traditional dulce de leche dessert.
