This experience takes place at the studio of celebrated tango dancer, teacher, and choreographer Gisela Vidal. In a one-hour workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of tango—from posture and footwork to the subtle, improvised cues that turn each step into a shared language. Born in Buenos Aires in the late 1800s, tango emerged from working-class neighborhoods as a fusion of African rhythms, European melodies, and immigrant longing. In neighborhoods like San Telmo and La Boca, tango spilled into the streets—danced in courtyards, bars, and late-night cafés—becoming a mirror of the city’s mood and motion.

After the session, you’ll share mate (a traditional herbal infusion) or wine with Gisela. In this informal moment, she’ll share stories from her own globetrotting career and offer deeper insight into how tango has evolved—not just as a dance, but as a living expression of Argentine identity.

Gisela Vidal has spent over 20 years performing and teaching tango, with a career that’s taken her to more than 40 countries—every continent except Antarctica (for now). She has performed at international festivals, appeared on television, and taught dancers around the world.

Her method is intuitive and personalized, using a range of exercises to help students develop fluidity, elegance, and their own expressive style. Drawing from other dance forms, her coaching is both creative and encouraging, with a focus on feeling, musicality, and the subtle dialogue between lead and follow.

This private tango class is open to both beginners and improvers, with each session tailored to your level. Growing up in Buenos Aires, Gisela Vidal danced her first tango at the age of 14. From there, she trained extensively in Tango Salon and Tango Stage style with the finest Argentinian Masters. Besides tango, Gisela has studied contemporary dance, jazz, belly dance, ballet, Argentine folk, and salsa. She has undertaken further tuition in theater and film acting, mime and clown art, and singing.

Gisela has participated in international tango festivals and major events including the opening of the Dakar 2009 in Buenos Aires. She was the choreographer and a stunt dancer for the Tango Infedele Video Clip.

During her 20-year career, Gisela has danced and coached in over 40 countries. She co-managed a tango school in Milan and coordinated the Tango Querido School in Tuscany. She launched her own jewelry business in 2018.

Morocco

This is a moderate 5.5-hour guided trek through diverse landscapes of Ouirgane Valley in the Atlas Mountains. Starting from the village of Marigha,, the trail ascends through terraced farmlands and pine forests to the village of Anraz. Here, you'll visit a modest yet historically significant Jewish synagogue, one of the few remaining in the region, reflecting the area's rich Jewish-Berber heritage. The next chapter of the experience takes you to two of the most iconic neighborhoods in Buenos Aires: San Telmo and La Boca. In San Telmo, you will meander the stalls of Mercado de San Telmo and Plaza Dorrego with the opportunity to pick up souvenirs. Passing into La Boca, you will stroll along the photographic Caminito and take in the sight of the Alberto José Armando "La Bombonera" Stadium.

Immerse yourself in the enchanting Carnival of Tempio Pausania, or Carrasciali Timpiesu, on Sunday, February 15. The highlight of this vibrant celebration is a grand parade featuring the whimsical, symbolic marriage of Re Giorgio (the king of Carnevale) and Mannena (a beautiful local woman). 

After meeting your local guide, Gianmario Pedroni, you’ll enjoy a typical lunch learning about the Carnival traditions, before joining the parade at 3 PM. Re Giorgio eagerly awaits Mannena, accompanied by the lively Tempio City Band and a dazzling array of allegorical floats.

Canal Grande in Trieste

The largest (not highest) waterfalls in the world are located in Puerto Iguazu, Argentina. It's a breathtaking spectacle to hear, see and feel the masses of water cascading down the landscape, and along the way, you'll see beautiful rainbows, coatis, and birds.
To get there, you'll fly to Puerto Iguazú and stay at one of the local hostels. We took this colorful train to the falls, and then you hike a bit on very accessible trails. Take your camera, because you'll want to show these views to your friends and family back home. Later in the evening you can watch the sunset and have a nice view of the three-country border – a river that separates Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil.
After visiting the Argentine side of the falls, you can take a trip to Brazil to experience the other side of the falls as well. On the Brazilian side, you can also visit a local botanical garden where you can observe mockingbirds, butterflies, monkeys, and other tropical animals.

The Museum of Innocence, nestled in Istanbul’s atmospheric Çukurcuma neighborhood, is a one-of-a-kind cultural experience crafted by Nobel laureate Orhan Pamuk. Inspired by his novel of the same name, the museum brings to life a poignant love story between Kemal and Füsun, set in Istanbul’s mid-20th century streets. This immersive storytelling space blurs the lines between fiction and reality, captivating visitors with its evocative displays and heartfelt narrative.

Museum of Innocence

Nestled between the historic fortresses of San Sebastian and Santa Catalina, La Caleta Beach is a picturesque urban retreat that encapsulates the soul of Cádiz. This beach, the smallest among Cádiz’s urban beaches, forms a natural cove that has served as a peaceful harbor since Phoenician times. Its golden sands and gentle waves invite you to relax and soak in the serene atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for a tranquil sunset stroll.
Best Times to Visit and Activities: La Caleta Beach is a year-round destination, with the summer months from June to October being ideal for swimming. The beach fills with life as locals and visitors alike bask in the sun or enjoy the cool waters. Evenings at La Caleta are particularly magical, as the setting sun paints the sky in pastel hues. Beyond swimming, the beach's calm waters are suitable for kayaking.
Cultural Significance: La Caleta Beach is steeped in history and culture. The Spa of Our Lady of La Palma and Real, a notable structure on the beach, now houses the Underwater Archaeology Center. The beach's proximity to Cádiz’s old town means you're never far from exploring the city's rich heritage, from the majestic castles that guard the beach to the vibrant local neighborhood of La Viña.
Exploring Further: A walk along the causeway to San Sebastian Castle offers breathtaking views of the coastline and the city. Although the castle itself has been closed to tourists for some years, the walk remains a highlight.

La Caleta Beach

Australia

The best thing about visiting Australia is that scenic views and spectacular nature are just a stone's throw away, no matter where you are. If you're in Sydney, you won't get a better view of the ocean than walking through Royal National Park and taking Bundeena Drive to Marley Walk.

Passing through scenic heathland with small trees, you'll soon come to a bushwalk through a denser forest. We saw many native bird species, including the famous cockatoo, had a dip in one of the pools along the way, and took stunning sunset photos as you look out over the wild ocean. The tourist highlight is Wedding Cake Rock, but our personal star was Marley Beach, a dreamy, hidden sandy beach where you can relax and dip your feet in the refreshing water.

You can rent a car and drive directly to Bundeena, but we decided to take the train from Sydney to Cronulla and from there take the ferry to Bundeena.

Chile’s Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley), located in the Atacama Desert, is one of the most surreal and otherworldly landscapes on Earth. With its wind-sculpted sand dunes, jagged rock formations, and salt-covered valleys, this Martian-like terrain resembles the surface of the Moon. The valley’s dramatic textures and colors, especially at sunset, make it a must-visit destination for photographers, nature lovers, and adventure seekers.


1. Duna Mayor, a massive sand dune offering panoramic views of the valley’s bizarre rock formations and distant Andes Mountains.

2. The Amphitheater, a curved rock formation that resembles a natural stage, perfect for dramatic landscape photography.

3. Las Tres Marías, three salt-and-rock sculptures sculpted by centuries of erosion, standing as one of the valley’s most famous landmarks.

4. Cueva de Sal, a fascinating salt cave where visitors can walk through tunnels lined with glistening salt crystals.

5. Sunset viewpoint (Mirador de Kari), the best spot to watch the valley’s colors shift from gold to deep red and purple, creating an unforgettable spectacle.

Visitor Tip: Visit in the late afternoon to experience the best lighting and cooler temperatures. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and a jacket, as desert temperatures drop quickly after sunset. A guided tour can provide deeper insight into the valley’s unique geology.

Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley)

Portugal’s Monsaraz, a breathtaking hilltop village in the Alentejo region, feels like stepping back in time. Overlooking the Alqueva Lake, Europe’s largest artificial lake, this medieval walled village is known for its whitewashed houses, cobbled streets, and a well-preserved castle. With its rich history, stunning landscapes, and peaceful atmosphere, Monsaraz is one of Portugal’s most enchanting villages—a perfect escape for history lovers and photographers alike.

Paisagem Protegida Local da Fonte da Benémola and Rocha da Pena are two of Portugal’s hidden natural treasures in the Algarve region. Both areas offer an escape into the countryside, ideal for walks through diverse ecosystems and picturesque trails that showcase a different side of the Algarve’s beauty beyond its famous beaches.

1. Fonte da Benémola is a lush, river-fed landscape where springs and wetlands create a cool, green oasis. Along the gentle paths, you’ll see a unique mix of vegetation like oleanders and tamarisks, and may even spot wildlife such as turtles, kingfishers, and otters.
