The visit concludes with a guided tasting of his wines, paired with local “Km 0” products that reflect the agricultural character of the region.

This experience takes you into the world of local Oaxacan stonework, centered around a lightweight, porous rock known as "cantera". During colonial times, the area was briefly renamed Villa de Antequera because the stone’s soft green tones reminded settlers of that Spanish city.

You’ll visit a local cantera mine and family-run workshops to see their creative process firsthand. The experience also includes a homemade meal with the family matriarch. The set menu is accompanied by non-alcoholic drinks and a cup of locally made mezcal.

You’ll be guided by a fourth-generation stone artisan who shares both his family’s legacy and his own artistic work. You’ll engage in meaningful conversation about the history of cantera and the role it continues to play in the region.
