Sarah Seguret is Irish by birth and French by adoption, rooted today in Bordeaux’s wine and cultural life. After falling in love with Bordeaux and the Aquitaine region, she chose to turn that passion into her profession. She has lived in France for over two decades and draws on her deep familiarity with the city, its people, and its wines. 

Sarah is a licensed French tour guide with experience interpreting Bordeaux’s history, terroir, and vinous traditions for curious travelers. She holds WSET Level 4 wine specialist credentials, a qualification that reflects rigorous study of grape varieties, soils, appellations, production methods, classification, and tasting theory.

Marché des Capucins has been part of Bordeaux for nearly two centuries, and you enter it with Anne, who knows the market through her work as a chef and long-standing relationships with its vendors. They greet her with the ease that comes from years of familiarity.

Stalls overflow with regional cheeses, oysters, fresh produce and charcuterie — a vivid panorama of Southwest French gastronomy. Then, your expert host Andrea leads a guided tasting that explores native grape varieties and how regional terroirs—from the vineyards of Thrace to the volcanic soils of Central Anatolia—shape each wine. You'll learn how Turkish winemakers are reviving ancient traditions and redefining the country’s wine scene.

Explore the diversity of mezcal in this in-depth guided tasting experience. You'll meet your host in Coyoacán, a colorful, artistic and historic oasis in Mexico City. Then, you will gather around the communal table in Andrea's studio, where she will share a curated selection of mezcals. For each mezcal you taste, you’ll learn about its region, agave variety, the people who make it, the cultural significance, and the production techniques behind it.

Andrea is an anthropologist by training, Master Mezcalier by trade, and a singer. She has fifteen years of experience promoting Guerrero State's mezcal culture and traditions, an area not typically associated with mezcal, but with plenty of flavors that are a joy to discover.

Andrea's own work in mezcal emerged from an extensive family history, where numerous memories and experiences have been intrinsically linked to the enjoyment of this spirit, always accompanied by good food and music. Since 2010, Andrea has been an integral part of the new narrative being woven around mezcal from Guerrero, actively contributing to its recognition and appreciation both nationally and internationally. 

Andrea's knowledge encompasses not only the specific culture of Guerrero, but extends to the diverse traditions that exist throughout the length and breadth of Mexico. She is certified as a Master Mezcalier and as a Leader in Food and Beverage Sensory Evaluation.

Morocco

This is a spiritual and immersive storytelling experience that invites you into the mystical world of Sufism through music, narrative and spirituality. Set in a traditional riad, the evening unfolds in three parts: a guided lecture, a live Sufi music ritual, and an intimate dinner. This is an experience designed for the curious and contemplative. A rare chance to witness Morocco’s spiritual heritage.

The session begins with a storytelling session inspired by the scholarly gatherings of Ben Youssef Madrasa. A trained and knowledgeable storyteller will introduce themes at the heart of Moroccan Sufism—divine love (Ishk al Ilahi), wisdom (Hikma), being (Wujud), and the interplay of perfection and imperfection.

Following this, a female Sufi music ensemble performs Hadra rituals—an ancient, rhythmic spiritual tradition using chants and percussion to evoke presence and devotion. Eventually, you will continue the discussion with the storyteller in a warm, reflective setting.

This experience is modeled on the structure of traditional Sufi gatherings—where knowledge is shared through presence, rhythm, and intimate dialogue. It offers rare access to an authentic form of spiritual exploration shaped by Morocco’s centuries-old Sufi traditions. A passionate and experienced boatman and guide - born and raised in Venice, Davide De Giorgi has an extensive knowledge of the city’s lagoons, which he acquired through his family’s fishing background and his own experiences sailing around on a vintage motorboat. This cultural insight, along with Davide’s studies in anthropology and languages, make his tours an unforgettable immersive experience.

This experience takes you into the world of local Oaxacan stonework, centered around a lightweight, porous rock known as "cantera". This material is essential to the history of Oaxaca—many of the region’s structures are built from it. During colonial times, the area was briefly renamed Villa de Antequera because the stone’s soft green tones reminded settlers of that Spanish city.

You’ll visit a local cantera mine and family-run workshops to see their creative process firsthand. The experience also includes a homemade meal with the family matriarch. The set menu is accompanied by non-alcoholic drinks and a cup of locally made mezcal.

You’ll be guided by a fourth-generation stone artisan who shares both his family’s legacy and his own artistic work. You’ll engage in meaningful conversation about the history of cantera and the role it continues to play in the region. Transportation is included, and Ehren will provide translation support if needed.

Maestro Oscar has exhibited his work throughout the state and recently held a solo show. He also collaborates with local government to help preserve the city’s architectural harmony.

His great-grandparents once excavated stone from mines governed under indigenous law, and his grandfather contributed to many of the cantera structures in and around the city—including the ornate fountains in the Zócalo. In meeting this master artisan, you’ll connect with the current generation of stoneworkers who honor these traditions while sharing stories and relics that bring the past vividly into the present.

As you discuss local stonework, you’ll also enjoy Oaxacan delicacies over a private lunch prepared by his mother, Rubi, in her open kitchen—complete with a cup of local mezcal. The generational artistry of cantera has been recognized as an intangible cultural asset of Southern Mexico.

Through all of her projects—including Hecho, a marketplace of artisan-made goods from natural materials—Ehren maintains an active focus on supporting Mexican ancestral traditions through handmade product development, including textiles, pottery, homewares, and other works. Her projects also place special emphasis on supporting women and indigenous communities.

This is Mexico’s story told through three spaces within Chapultepec, the great forest in Mexico City — a journey through its origins, empires and modern vision.

You begin at National Museum of Anthropology, one of the world’s most remarkable cultural institutions. Beneath its vast courtyard “paraguas” canopy — a concrete umbrella supported by a single column — you walk through galleries that hold Mexico’s ancient imagination and Indigenous legacy: Mexica calendar stone, Zapotec urns, Mayan reliefs. 

Then choose, in advance, between Castillo de Chapultepec, former imperial palace that crowns the hill with 19th-century grandeur, or Museo Tamayo, Mexico’s leading space for contemporary art, designed by Teodoro González de León and Abraham Zabludovsky, where raw concrete meets color and abstraction.

Mexico City’s National Museum of Anthropology is one of Latin America’s most important museums — a vital space for understanding the depth and diversity of Mexico’s cultural heritage. Opened in 1964, it preserves and celebrates the pre-Columbian civilizations that shaped the country: the Aztec, Maya, Olmec, and Zapotec. The building itself is an icon of modern Mexican architecture — a vast courtyard shaded by a monumental concrete “umbrella,” its single central column carved with mythic reliefs.

Inside, you move through galleries that feel like time slowed down. Among the most famous pieces are the Aztec Sun Stone, a massive calendar disk that encodes the Aztec cosmos, and the colossal Olmec heads carved from basalt. You’ll also encounter the intricate Maya stelae and treasures from the Tomb of Pakal the Great in Palenque — touchstones of an imagination that still defines Mexico’s identity.

Anthropology Museum

If you choose Chapultepec Castle instead of Museo Tamayo, Andrea will arrange to visit this first — so you can make the climb while the hill is still cool and shaded.

Perched high above the city, the castle commands sweeping views of the valley and stands as a symbol of Mexico’s layered history. Built in the late 18th century, it has served many lives — first as colonial palace, then as residence of Emperor Maximilian I and Empress Carlota during the Second Mexican Empire, and later as official home of Mexico’s presidents. Today, it houses the National Museum of History, where rooms are preserved with 19th-century furnishings, imperial artifacts, and murals tracing the country’s struggle for independence and revolution.

Highlights include Maximilian’s ornate chambers, the Hall of Battles, and murals by Diego Rivera and other great Mexican artists. From the terraces, weather/visibility permitting, you can see the city stretching below — green canopy to skyline.

After your morning exploration through Mexico’s past and modern expressions, Andrea will take you to a restaurant for an extensive lunch where you'll get to try various dishes representing some of the best of Mexico City cuisine.

From there, you visit the Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros, a remarkable insitution that preserves the experimental studio and public mission of David Alfaro Siqueiros, one of Mexico’s great muralists. Housed in the artist’s former home and workshop, the building still bears the traces of his process — large-scale murals, technical studies, and the curved walls designed for his “Polyangular” method, meant to let art move with the viewer.

You walk the line between art and activism, between creation and conviction — a fitting conclusion to the day.

The afternoon seeks to tie the day’s themes together: Mexico’s art as memory, power, and reinvention.
