One of the most important parts of one’s culture is surely its gastronomy. How better to know Dubrovnik then to follow the story of its development in the city tour while tasting the story as well. In the ancient republic the society was divided into three classes: commoners, citizens and noblemen. We will start the tour in the spirit of the 10th century, a commoner at the beginning. Then we will evoke the spirit of a medieval citizen’s day life. At the end you will taste a noblemen’s plate, one of the oldest and most favorite traditional recipe. Toledo is one of Spain’s most historically significant cities, with roots dating back to a pre-Roman settlement. It was once the capital of Spain and remains a UNESCO World Heritage Site today. Over the centuries, it became known as the City of Tolerance—or the City of Three Cultures—due to the coexistence and influence of Muslim, Jewish, and Christian communities.

This private walking tour begins with a panoramic car tour of the city, followed by visits to monuments that bring Toledo’s layered history to life. Highlights include the Mosque of Tornerías, one of only two surviving Caliphate-era mosques; the Synagogue of El Tránsito, a striking example of Jewish presence and power in medieval Toledo; and the Cathedral of Toledo, the Primate Cathedral and a defining symbol of Catholic influence expressed through Gothic art and architecture.

Take the 9:15am train from Madrid Atocha to Toledo station, where Adolfo will meet you. It takes 35 minutes and costs €14. You can pre-buy the train tickets from Renfe.com, or give yourself plenty of time to buy a ticket at Atocha.

Kyoto-based artist Rachel takes you on a relaxing journey exploring the breathtaking scenery of Kyoto's Higashiyama area where at each destination, she will teach you how to capture the elegant beauty of Kyoto using Japanese watercolors.

You will stroll through neighborhoods featuring temples, shrines, parks, and rustic buildings in search of inspiration, but at a gentle pace that allows you to see authentic life in Kyoto that you might miss by trying to maximize the number of highlights you can visit in one day. In fact, Rachel lets you set the pace for the day, whether you prefer to visit more locations to do some quick sketches or just a few doing in-depth sketching.

As you explore, Rachel will explain the rich history and culture about the places you will visit, paying close attention to the details and nuances a casual visitor might overlook. During your walk, you'll have time to enjoy a snack featuring a local Kyoto specialty, and of course, a tea to go along with it.

Drawing from her experience as a long-time resident artist of Kyoto, Rachel has selected an area with a variety of sketchable locations that are completely customizable based on seasons, weather, and your skills and interests. Whether it be the majestic Gion Weeping Cherry Tree in the Spring, stone-lined streets of Nene-no-Michi in Autumn, or a snow-dusted Yasaka Pagoda in the Winter, Rachel’s helpful instructions will have you creating a unique watercolor keepsake of your memories of Kyoto. Price includes professional artist instruction as well as all supplies, including an ultra-compact watercolor sketchbook kit (paints, water brush, and sketchbook) that’s yours to keep, featuring high-quality Japanese watercolors and paper. 

All necessary art supplies are included, but please come dressed comfortably for a morning walking around outdoors, including seasonally appropriate clothing, comfortable walking shoes, and a compact umbrella. Her watercolor paintings of Kyoto have been featured in the Kyoto Journal and her sumi-e paintings displayed in the Nippon Suibokuga Art Association's annual shows.

An experienced educator, she has offered on-site sketching and painting classes in Kyoto for over 7 years, working with a full range of ages and experience levels. Her instruction style is personalized and supportive, aimed at giving participants both the practical skills and confidence to continue creating art of their own.

Her philosophy is that by taking time to sketch and paint, whether while traveling or in daily life, one can forge a special relationship with one's surroundings and make unforgettable memories.

Bahía de Kino is a peaceful fishing town on the Sea of Cortez. You’ll arrive by private car after crossing the Sonoran Desert with your local guides from Hermosillo, ready to immerse yourself in the culture of the Seri, or Comcáac, who have called this region home for around 2,000 years.

Conducted in collaboration with both Mexican and Comcáac hosts, this experience offers a rare opportunity for meaningful cultural exchange. Alex and Rocío have been running tours along the U.S.–Mexico borderlands for many years, primarily as a way to share positive, accurate information about the region they call home. Beginning in 2019 with efforts to disseminate local history, they soon expanded to offering tours and experiences that connect visitors with communities on both sides of the border.

Alex’s earliest memory is a family visit to Tijuana—an experience that sparked a lasting fascination with the people and heritage of Mexico. While at university, he focused his studies and research on the Hispanic cultural heritage of the American Southwest and Mexico.

Rocío is a graphic designer who has managed communications projects for a range of institutions, including government agencies and nonprofits in both the U.S. and Mexico. She loves sharing the diversity and richness of the region through visual storytelling.

Just across the water from Piazza San Marco lies San Giorgio Maggiore, once known as Cypress Island. Palladio’s luminous church seems to float on the lagoon, housing Tintoretto’s dramatic canvases. The bell tower rises beside it, offering views that sweep from the Basilica della Salute to the distant Lido. In the surrounding park, sculptures from a past Biennale punctuate the greenery.

Wander beyond the façade and a different rhythm unfolds. The former Benedictine monastery now hosts the cultural center Fondazione Giorgio Cini and a 17th-century library designed by Baldassare Longhena. Nearby, Le Stanze del Vetro showcases glass art. If you are interested in rare natural phenomena and want to learn more about marine life, you should head to Mexico's Pacific coast. One of the best spectacles is the annual whale migration, where you can catch unique glimpses of humpback whales. 

The largest mammals on earth have earned their reputation as the most beautiful, intelligent, and impressive creatures. If you watch the ocean at migration time (either from the shore or on a boat tour), you'll see baby whales leaping and maybe even hear mother whales calling their families together. The baby-whale season is from January until the end of April.

But the Pacific coast is not only known for whales. It's just as beautiful to watch sea turtles hatch. If you come at the right time, you can witness mother turtles laying hundreds of eggs overnight in the soft sand on the coast, and much later, those hundreds of babies hatch and crawl toward the sea. Come between late August to early October.

Boardwalks and Wooden Paths (1:00 PM - 1:30 PM). Gear: Wide-angle lens. Tips: Use leading lines to draw attention to the natural beauty of the park. Capture wide-angle shots that include the paths and surrounding landscapes. These images will highlight the unique structure of the park’s walkways and the immersive experience they offer.

The Man Who Built the Coolest Bar in the World. That would be a Jamaican fisherman from Saint Elizabeth called Floyd who thought it would be nice to have a place where he and his buddies could hang out to and from their fishing ventures. He built the bar on a sandbar a mile off the coast in Parottee Bay out of driftwood (the wood was restored after Hurricane Ivan in 2004). In between dips in the turquoise water, you can sip a Red Stripe, eat freshly grilled snapper and play dominoes. Or catch up with Floyd at the bar. Someday, I’d like to watch the sunset from there.
