After this, you will walk a short distance to the theater where the rest of the evening plays out over photography, art, dining, and conversation.

Once seated at a premium table with a clear view of the stage, you will photograph the dancers and orchestra without obstructions. Dinner is served during the show, while Bernardo mentors you through the photography and shares cultural insights into tango culture. At a convenient moment, you will access the backstage area for the opportunity to meet and photograph the tango dancers while they prepare their make-up and costumes ahead the show.

Bernardo Galmarini is a professional photographer from Buenos Aires, Argentina, specializing in travel and architectural photography. As a freelance photographer, his work has been published in the most prestigious newspapers, books, travel guides, and magazines worldwide including National Geographic, the Michelin Travel Guide, Lonely Planet, and The New York Post. Among his numerous accolades, he has claimed top prize in the "Luxury Travel Guide Awards" four times.

In order to share his knowledge, talent, and passion with other curious travelers, Bernardo has curated his own photography tours, workshops, and photoshoots in Buenos Aires as well as other locations around Argentina. Japan

Master calligrapher Eri Koyama takes you on a journey toward peace and contentment with a simple brush and ink. This private experience begins in a peaceful Kyoto temple where she explains the cultural significance of shodo, Japanese calligraphy, and how it has been used as both a form of art and meditation over the centuries. Rooted in Zen philosophy, shodo invites stillness, focus, and a deep connection between mind and body.

Next, Eri explains the tools used in Japanese calligraphy, and you'll learn to make your own ink from an inkstone. After introducing the different writing styles, she’ll guide you in practicing the foundational strokes used in each.

After a short tea break, you'll choose a favorite Japanese character or word — something meaningful to you — which you'll practice, refining your technique under Eri’s expert instruction. For most visitors, the Algarve conjures images of beaches and seafood. But João’s Algarve is more textured—what he calls the “poetic Algarve.” He cites writers like Sofia de Melo Breyner Andresen and José Saramago, who captured the soul of the region in images of sunsets, fruit, wind, and silence. For João, the true essence of the Algarve lies in its sensory landscape and the stories attached to it.
“In my youth,” he recalls, “many people came here, to the Algarve, and my family—like many others—had small farms. I spent a lot of time working on these farms growing carob, figs, almonds, and olives.” These daily rituals shaped his relationship to the land. “Everybody knows the Algarve for its oranges,” he adds, 
remembering his family’s orchard. “I have good memories of my mother and my sister making lots of cakes—almond cakes, and sometimes orange cakes too.”
What João wants travelers to experience is that same connection: the gestures and flavors that tie people to place. “We still recognize these things—the tradition of fishing, the dry fruits, the rituals of picking and preparing. This is what I want travelers to connect with.”
Still, he knows it's not always simple. “The Algarve is quite diverse. It’s not just one story. A good connection to the people here is important. 1942: Errol Flynn popularised rafting down the river Rio Grande in Jamaica on bamboo rafts, made of long logs bound together. Fast forward: I'm on a raft for a 3-hour ride and sensory overload: ferns, birds, rapids, butterflies, serenading raft captain. But here’s my favorite part —

After an hour on the river, we dock at Belinda’s Riverside Restaurant, a rustic gem nestled by the Rio Grande. How does this place even exist in the middle of nowhere? Turns out Belinda and team hike a couple of hours across the hills, ingredients in tow, to set up shop each time, serving up Jamaican-style curry goat and fish (take your pick: fried, steamed, or escoveitched). Prepared with love and served alongside rice or bammy. One of my best meals in Jamaica. Call ahead to make sure Belinda’s is open on the day you visit.

3. The park includes a series of barrier islands that form natural defenses against the sea. These islands, with their pristine beaches and clear waters, are accessible by boat and offer tranquil spots for relaxation and observation of marine life.

4. The lagoon's clear waters are teeming with a variety of marine species, making it an excellent site for snorkeling and observing underwater life. The park is also important for the reproduction of several fish species, contributing to the local fishing industry.

Grožnjan Artists’ Village

With 25+ years of crafting Jamaican traditional meals, Chef Chris gained fame when Anthony Bourdain showcased his skills on "Parts Unknown" in 2014. 

From the moment we stepped into the Cook Shop, all our senses were engaged. The local scenes, the staff busy with their preparation and the aromas from the kitchen. But it was Chris's warm welcome that made the experience truly unforgettable. We chopped, marinated, and grilled under his guidance, learning the art of his signature jerk chicken and curry goat. Then we gathered on his rooftop deck overlooking James Bond Beach in the distance – a lovely backdrop to our culinary adventure - to eat together. We savored the dishes we helped create, and Chef Chris even shared a packet of his secret curry powder for us to take home.
