After an early morning pickup at your Seville hotel, you'll be transported to the mystical paths traversed by the pilgrimage, known only to insiders. After a short walk where you acclimatize to the warm and sunny weather, the scenery and the pace, you will join the congregation of pilgrims for a traditional Andalusian breakfast. This social gathering is an integral part of the pilgrimage, where bonds are formed over shared meals like pan con tomate and café con leche.

The sounds of cowbells and horse hooves along with the creaking of caravan wheels will fill the air as you walk, accompanied by the melodic tunes of flamenco guitars and harmonious singing. The dusty roads transform into a vibrant festival scene.

The road to El Rocío is much more than a simple pilgrimage; it is a journey where emotions overflow and experiences become indelible memories. During the journey, there is an atmosphere of camaraderie and brotherhood, where the pilgrims support each other, sing sevillanas and pray together. Laughter, singing and weeping mingle in a whirlwind of mixed feelings.

 

As the pilgrims make their way, they pass through beautiful natural landscapes, cross streams and wade through marshes. Although she lacks formal environmental education, her extensive local knowledge and hands-on experience make her an exceptional host. This sunset photography experience chases the light through breathtaking viewpoints of Cappadocia’s otherworldly terrain, capturing the sky as it shifts from gold to blue to dusk. It begins with a hotel pick-up and a drive to the Red Valley, where the slopes of Red and Rose Valleys flare with color in the low sun. Shadows stretch. Stone turns to fire. One of the most important parts of one’s culture is surely its gastronomy. How better to know Dubrovnik then to follow the story of its development in the city tour while tasting the story as well. In the ancient republic the society was divided into three classes: commoners, citizens and noblemen. We will start the tour in the spirit of the 10th century, a commoner at the beginning. Then we will evoke the spirit of a medieval citizen’s day life. At the end you will taste a noblemen’s plate, one of the oldest and most favorite traditional recipe. Each of the three locations we visit will offer a tasting dish and different wine, matching the story. The tour lasts three hours and combines the tale of food with the most interesting stories of our town.

Jaime will teach you how to read a building, understand its symbolism, and appreciate how public and private spaces coexist in a city. Along the way, he’ll share curious tales and trivia about this UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll also gain insight into how Valparaíso's unique topography has influenced its architecture and urban design, shaping the city's identity over centuries.

No sketching expertise is needed—this activity accommodates and inspires everyone to adopt the mindset of an artist. Children, novices, doodlers, and dreamers are all welcome. Templates are provided to assist with sketching.

Jaime has created Valparaíso’s only sketching walking tour, where you'll train your eye to see beyond the surface of this historic port city. Having studied every corner and curve of this place built on 45 hills, he shares the cultural story behind each edifice. His career took him to Brazil, where he published papers and conducted further research into the landscape of urban design. Toledo was famous in medieval Europe for its impact on intellectual life—largely thanks to its renowned Jewish community. Until 1492 and their expulsion from the city, Toledo’s Jewish population maintained a flourishing cultural life despite periods of discrimination. Pyrgos Village, located in the heart of Santorini, is a charming and historic destination that offers a more tranquil and authentic experience compared to the island’s bustling hotspots. Perched on a hill, this traditional Cycladic village was once Santorini’s capital and is known for its narrow winding streets, whitewashed houses, and panoramic views of the island. Pyrgos Village

Pula, Croatia, is home to the Pula Arena, one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheaters in the world. Built in the 1st century AD under Emperor Vespasian, this impressive limestone structure once hosted gladiator battles and could accommodate up to 23,000 spectators. Today, it remains a stunning testament to Roman engineering and serves as a unique venue for concerts, film festivals, and historical reenactments. With its majestic arches, underground tunnels, and breathtaking coastal backdrop, the Pula Arena is a must-visit landmark for history lovers and photographers alike.

1. Walking through the grand stone arches, visitors can admire the arena’s remarkably  ell-preserved structure, which still retains its original seating and towering outer walls.

2. The underground chambers, once used by gladiators and wild animals before battles, now house an informative museum displaying ancient artifacts and the history of Roman amphitheaters.

3. Every summer, the Pula Film Festival transforms the arena into a spectacular open-air cinema, offering a one-of-a-kind experience of watching films under the stars in an ancient Roman setting.

Pula Arena

Jamaica

A Black River Safari took us into the heart of the largest freshwater wetland ecosystem in Jamaica, the Great Morass at the Black River. This area, spanning 125 square miles, is a haven for biodiversity, featuring giant mangrove trees and an array of swamp animals, including the endangered American crocodile, protected under the Wildlife Protection Act in Jamaica. 

The guides spotted crocodiles of various sizes in the water and along the riverbanks, including baby crocodiles. Also several bird species call this area home. As we glided along the river, we saw snowy egrets, great egrets, and great blue herons, among other bird species.

The River teems with mangrove trees, ferns, and water lilies. The mangroves are particularly noteworthy, with some species having roots extending 40 feet downward. A curious aspect of the Black River is its dark color, which becomes more noticeable as you move upstream. This is due to the peat soil at the bottom of the river, which, despite giving the river its dark appearance, keeps the water clear. 

If you're interested in learning more about the crocodiles, many tours conclude with a visit to the Crocodile Nursery, where young and injured crocodiles are cared for until they are ready to return to the wild.

Someone described #Churchill as “the warmest coldest tundra town”. It is a friendly, curious town. It also claims to have 300 days of northern lights. 

Basically, if you happen to be in Churchill on a clear night, prepare to wake up, dress up in layers (quickly), and be enthralled. 

Last Sunday night, when most had turned back in after what looked like an “average” aurora display, we waited and were rewarded with lovely green ribbons and curtains.
