Basketry was one of the earliest crafts in Mesoamerica, predating the domestication of crops and handmade ceramics. Because this practice uses biodegradable materials, few historical remnants remain—so its history lives on through family traditions and storytelling. By learning about the skill, time, and dedication involved in creating these baskets, you'll help support local artisans through both financial investment and cultural preservation.

Your basket-making workshop will last roughly two hours. Afterward, you’ll continue the carrizo theme with a meal at a restaurant that serves Oaxacan tlayudas on handwoven carrizo plates.

You begin the day in San Miguel de Allende, traveling east into the countryside toward Atotonilco. Here, you visit Santuario de Jesús Nazareno de Atotonilco, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for 18th-century murals that cover nearly every interior surface. Cesar explains the sanctuary’s murals — cited by UNESCO as a masterpiece of Mexican Baroque — and how they were created to guide meditation and spiritual practice. This four-hour walking experience immerses you in Barrio Yungay, one of Santiago de Chile’s oldest neighborhoods. This enclave was laid out shortly after Chile's Independence, and traces the transition from colonial rule to a modern, 19th century capital city. This experience traces fado through Alfama, beginning above the city at Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, with Lisbon’s roofs and the Tejo spread out below. Over a glass of sparkling wine, Rita sets the context for fado in its original setting: the Lisbon of the 1830s–1840s — port workers, fishing communities, taverns, migration, and night gatherings where poetry was sung.

From there, you meander downhill into Alfama’s narrow streets, following the places and communities that shaped this urban song tradition. The evening ends in a fado restaurant for a live performance, followed by a private exchange with a singer and musicians, facilitated by Rita. The Coffee Triangle - which includes the pueblo towns of Salento and Filandia - has its own culture, diversity, food and of course, coffee.

I was told that I would find the best cup of coffee in the world in Colombia’s Zona Cafetera. I found some of the tastiest beans in little vintage cafes with vintage coffee machines. The coffee plantations nearby offered tasting sessions too. Part of the fun Is to climb on the back of a colorful Jeep to get to the plantations.

On the Coffee Road, in the colorful town of Salento, the biggest attraction - besides the coffee and the arepas - is its traditional architecture of one- and two-story buildings, with walls painted white, and doors and window frames in the brightest of candy colors.

Hi everyone i am Akash i am from canada New Brunswickand i travel to this place called Cape Breton island It was really an amazing experience to visit i and my other 2 friends we  drive  all the way up it was 4 hours driving  in this place Cape Breton Island skyline trail Nova Scotia canada  where you can see the Atlantic Ocean blue sky beautiful sun rise and sun set  blue whale and other beautiful and natural things  things as well as it's worth of your time its only for the people who love to travel and experience adventures in their life so never miss a chance  go and have some fun with your friends and family you need a week trip to see everything over here but yes there is a problem with food so i suggest to carry with you some or els you will die hungry haha and its a bit high and attitude so not for the person who have hard time in breathing or for old people so be careful why i am sharing this is i want everyone to know what are the advantages and disadvantages Thank you
