This is a moderate 5.5-hour guided trek through diverse landscapes of Ouirgane Valley in the Atlas Mountains. This 3-hour private experience is divided into a visit to the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art and a relaxed weaving workshop with Flor—a passionate textile artist and entrepreneur from Santiago. Over coffee and cake in a beautiful setting, Flor will introduce you to the art of pin loom weaving: a portable and creative method of weaving using a small frame with pins or nails. After this, you will visit the museum and tour the collection of over 1,000 pieces of Indigenous art, focusing on textiles.

Florencia Campos Correa, or Flor, is a Chilean-Spanish textile designer and author based in Santiago. Her business, Ullvuna, is dedicated to portable pin loom weaving kits which are available globally. Much of Flor's inspiration comes from her passion and appreciation for Chilean culture and people. She deeply admires the landscapes and nature as well as the ancient fables she absorbed as a child while traveling every corner of Chile by caravan with her family.

Flor has authored several books packed with vibrant pattern inspiration and projects. Her nature motifs are translated into floral crochet designs published in a British magazine and she has penned a children's story which inspires creativity and entrepreneurship in the youngest of budding designers. 

Türkiye

Step into a Kurdish family home in Istanbul for an intimate Dengbej storytelling and dinner experience. Dengbej is a traditional Kurdish music style where singers recount epic tales of history, love, and loss using only their voices in an a cappella-style performance. You’ll start with a neighborhood walk, getting to know the local Kurdish community, before gathering around the family table for a home-cooked Kurdish dinner, prepared by the host’s mother.

As you tuck into your meal, a professional singer will perform a variety of Dengbej songs that convey the struggles and resilience of the Kurdish people, reflecting their historical, social, and cultural experiences. Once forbidden during periods of repression in Turkey, Dengbej has survived through clandestine performances and oral transmission. This experience allows you to delve into the origins and nuances of this vibrant art form while hearing the stories of a Kurdish family based in Istanbul.

This experience offers a rare chance to engage with Dengbej storytelling in a private Kurdish home, surrounded by warmth and hospitality. Your host, Baver, and his family will welcome you into their home, where professional Dengbej singer Xalide, from a lineage of Dengbej singers, brings this tradition to life.

Dengbej is one of the oldest forms of storytelling, dating back thousands of years. Despite centuries of suppression, it remains a vital record of Kurdish history and identity. Each song recounts tales of love, battles, and farewells, blending spoken word and melody. To add to the experience, Baver may sometimes accompany the singer with his Saz, a traditional string instrument from Turkey. To complete the evening, Baver’s mother will prepare a traditional Kurdish dinner, so guests can hear the stories of Kurdish culture but also taste its rich culinary heritage.

This experience is hosted by Barış Baver and his Kurdish family, who warmly welcome guests into their home for an evening of storytelling, music, and food. Baver, an entrepreneur and cultural curator, is passionate about preserving Turkish and Kurdish traditions. He grew up immersed in Kurdish heritage, learning from his mother’s culinary wisdom and local traditions. His home has become a space where travelers can experience authentic Kurdish hospitality, sharing meals, stories, and culture in an intimate setting.

As part of this experience, Baver and his family invite Xalide, a professionally trained Dengbej singer from a lineage of performers, to bring this rare storytelling tradition to life. She will guide you through the meaning behind each song—whether a tale of love, exile, or celebration—offering insight into this ancient oral art. Paired with a home-cooked Kurdish dinner prepared by Baver’s mother, this is a deeply personal and immersive cultural experience unlike any other.

Mexico

This experience takes you into the world of local Oaxacan stonework, centered around a lightweight, porous rock known as "cantera". This material is essential to the history of Oaxaca—many of the region’s structures are built from it. During colonial times, the area was briefly renamed Villa de Antequera because the stone’s soft green tones reminded settlers of that Spanish city.

You’ll visit a local cantera mine and family-run workshops to see their creative process firsthand. The experience also includes a homemade meal with the family matriarch. The set menu is accompanied by non-alcoholic drinks and a cup of locally made mezcal.

You’ll be guided by a fourth-generation stone artisan who shares both his family’s legacy and his own artistic work. You’ll engage in meaningful conversation about the history of cantera and the role it continues to play in the region. Transportation is included, and Ehren will provide translation support if needed.

Maestro Oscar has exhibited his work throughout the state and recently held a solo show. He also collaborates with local government to help preserve the city’s architectural harmony.

His great-grandparents once excavated stone from mines governed under indigenous law, and his grandfather contributed to many of the cantera structures in and around the city—including the ornate fountains in the Zócalo. In meeting this master artisan, you’ll connect with the current generation of stoneworkers who honor these traditions while sharing stories and relics that bring the past vividly into the present.

As you discuss local stonework, you’ll also enjoy Oaxacan delicacies over a private lunch prepared by his mother, Rubi, in her open kitchen—complete with a cup of local mezcal. The generational artistry of cantera has been recognized as an intangible cultural asset of Southern Mexico.

This is a day-long journey into the trade life of Istanbul—told through its markets, caravan inns, and shared meals. This walking tour crosses from the old merchant quarters of the Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar to the everyday rhythms of Kadıköy, weaving through Ottoman courtyards, the "hans", and backstreet cafés along the way. You’ll visit a working caravanserai, meet a craftsperson keeping old trades alive, see rare views of the city from various points, and sit down to the same dishes traders still eat today—sour soups, lentil köfte, helva, mussels, meze. You’ll walk through wholesale alleys behind the Spice Bazaar and visit the Süleymaniye complex—once a spiritual and logistical nerve center of the empire. Then you’ll cross the Bosphorus by ferry, stepping into the present-day hum of market life on the Asian side. As you explore its vaulted galleries and stone chambers, your guide will bring to life the story of Ottoman commerce to life.

Most visits to the Grand Bazaar stick to the shops. This takes you behind the scenes—into the living architecture and working culture that still animate the commercial heart of Istanbul. You'll get into the daily pulse of the Bazaar to eat where the traders do: a quiet spot serving tripe soup, lentil köfte, or white beans in tomato—flavors that haven’t changed in decades. You'll observe, listen, and eat where merchants still do -- and see places that would be nearly impossible to find on your own.

Grand Bazaar Behind-the-Scenes

Enter the Spice Bazaar, still thick with scent and sound since 1660. Walk beneath its vaulted ceilings lined with saffron, sumac, and dried hibiscus sold by families who've worked the same stalls for generations. From there, slip behind the scenes into Tahtakale—one of Istanbul’s least understood but most vital trade arteries. This wholesale district still hums with activity: dried goods in sacks, hardware stacked in back alleys, and passageways filled with carts and crates. Spices and Side Streets

Climb toward one of Istanbul’s architectural high points—Süleymaniye Mosque, designed by imperial architect Mimar Sinan in the 16th century. This was once a civic hub. Visit the former caravanserai, the soup kitchen (imaret) that fed the poor, and the medical clinic (darüşşifa) that served travelers and locals alike. As you move through the complex, you’ll see how Ottoman ideals of charity, urban planning, and commerce were woven together. Pause in the courtyard to take in panoramic views of the Golden Horn, then, if time allows, sit for helva and tea at a nearby terrace café still frequented by porters and theology students.

Süleymaniye is a beautiful site. The route will stay in the courtyard and grounds and the include the incredible views. Your guide will explain how this is also a working model of Ottoman urban design. That means talking to locals, walking unfamiliar routes, listening more than looking. “Lisbon isn’t just to be seen, but touched, smelled, and tasted.” It’s not a checklist—it’s a presence.
He also names two challenges: First, Lisbon’s historic neighborhoods are deeply distinct—each like its own mini-city. “Lisbon is multidimensional. It cannot—and should not—be rushed.” Second, mass tourism threatens the local character he cherishes. Responsible travel, he says, is essential to preserve the culture.

San Giusto Castle, a historic fortress in Trieste, stands majestically on the hill of the same name. Built on the ruins of a Venetian castle, its origins date back to the 15th century. The castle offers a vivid retelling of Trieste's history, from Roman times to the present day. Roughly 300 years older than Miramare Castle, it offers a panoramic view of the city, the Adriatic Sea, and the surrounding mountains​​. Why visit?
1 - Architectural Grandeur: The castle, a blend of medieval and renaissance architecture, showcases the transformation of Trieste through different historical periods. It features an array of rooms, including the 15th-century Captain's House, the Sala Caprin, and the late-Gothic Cappella di San Giorgio, each narrating a unique aspect of Trieste's past.
