Florencia Campos Correa, or Flor, is a Chilean-Spanish textile designer and author based in Santiago. Her business, Ullvuna, is dedicated to portable pin loom weaving kits which are available globally. Much of Flor's inspiration comes from her passion and appreciation for Chilean culture and people. She deeply admires the landscapes and nature as well as the ancient fables she absorbed as a child while traveling every corner of Chile by caravan with her family.

Flor has authored several books packed with vibrant pattern inspiration and projects. Her nature motifs are translated into floral crochet designs published in a British magazine and she has penned a children's story which inspires creativity and entrepreneurship in the youngest of budding designers. 

Mexico

The Romanesque church, dating back to the 12th century, hosted the Knights of Malta for nearly five centuries, preceded, according to legend, by the famed Templars. The village is also known for its seven springs of pure, crystal-clear waters.

Revolutionary ideals aren’t always what they seem. The 1789 French Revolution is marked by two competing narratives: the Enlightenment humanism that led to “liberty, equality, fraternity,” and the populist rhetoric that culminated in the Reign of Terror.

Whether referring to 1789, the 1871 Paris Commune, or the May 1968 student revolutions, this experience is a walk through Paris’ rich history of revolutionary ideas that continue to shape debates about democracy today.

Led by a novelist and expert in modern European history, this journey unfolds as a dialogue about the ideas, stories, and events that sparked France’s major revolutionary moments, with particular focus on 1789, 1871, and May 1968.

The walk concludes in the Latin Quarter, where the conversation continues over a drink, allowing time to reflect on history, philosophy, and the revolutionary ideas that still unsettle authoritarian regimes today.

This experience is shaped by Samuél Lopez-Barrantes’s way of reading history as a living, contested process rather than a closed chapter. A novelist and publisher with an MA in social theory and an MFA focused on the invention of historical narrative, he approaches the French Revolution through the ideas that emerged from it and the legacies of figures such as Rousseau, Voltaire, Louise Michel, and Guy Debord.

With a focus on the modern intellectual history of Paris and the narratives that shape how the Revolution is remembered, this experience challenges common understandings of the “French Revolution” in a nation that has experienced multiple revolutions since 1789.

Samuél's approach invites participants to consider how the storming of the Bastille and the Declaration of the Rights of Man also led to the Terror and Napoleon Bonaparte’s colonial regime, and how three 19th-century revolutions helped inspire Situationism and May 1968.

You’ll meet Samuél at the Colonne de Juillet, the large column in the center of Place de la Bastille.

Samuél has lived in Paris since 2010 as a novelist, musician, and literary tour guide. He holds an MA in social theory and an MFA in creative writing. He is a member of an indie rock band and the co-founder of Kingdom Anywhere, an independent anglophone publisher in Paris.

He taught creative writing at the Sorbonne for five years before focusing on writing and leading historical walks on modernism, existentialism, and the Nazi Occupation of Paris. His first novel, Slim and the Beast, shares its name with his band, which has played extensively across Europe. His second novel, The Requisitions, is a work of historical metafiction set in Nazi-occupied Poland.

Samuél is also fiction editor at SOUVENIR Magazine, an anglophone arts and literature magazine based in Paris.

A short guided hike of roughly two hours will take you to a series of caves featuring rustic paintings and traces of human habitation dating back over 10,000 years. They depict the early domestication period of the Zapotec people, when their ancestors first settled here as hunter-gatherers. These caverns are part of a larger network of over 200 caves in Yagul, where the earliest remnants of domesticated corn—a tiny and now obsolete variety known as teocintle—were discovered. This entire area was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010.

As these caves are protected and the town operates under Indigenous law, it’s required that we travel with a local guide provided by the pueblo’s government office.

After the hike, we’ll continue the corn theme with lunch at a local restaurant, sampling one of the most iconic corn-based dishes in Oaxaca: the tlayuda. We’ll share a variety of styles, along with a refreshing non-alcoholic agua fresca.

This hike is a chance to appreciate the splendor of the Oaxacan countryside and gain insight into the earliest Zapotec people who settled in this land. Your host, a long-time Oaxaca resident with strong connections to this community, will arrange the hike with a guide from the local government office to ensure the experience complies with Indigenous law for this protected area. Participants can specify whether they would like the tour in English or Spanish. This offers unmatched insight into the history and ecology of the region.

You’ll then explore the magic of corn firsthand by trying one of Oaxaca’s most iconic delicacies—the tlayuda. Your host will transport you from the hike to one of the best venues near the city to enjoy this celebrated dish, then return you to your original meeting point once the meal is done. Led by a local expert and seasoned photographer, you will discover how the community of Bosa experiences Easter as part of a collective ritual that welcomes anyone who joins.The images you will take won’t be simple photographs but records of a strong sense of community and the bond between the locals and their traditions.
The ceremonies of Holy Week date back to the Middle Ages and are linked to the Spanish liturgy, as Spaniards dominated the island for a long time.

Joining the procession, you will observe symbols of faith and the emotional participation of the inhabitants. 

Bosa’s Easter celebration reaches its emotional peak with S’Incontru (The Encounter), a procession that takes place at dawn on Easter Sunday. Two separate processions begin their solemn journey—one carrying the statue of the Risen Christ, the other bearing the Virgin Mary dressed in black. As they wind through the town's narrow, historic streets, led by locals in traditional Sardinian attire, the atmosphere builds with anticipation. The climax unfolds in Bosa’s main square, where the statues meet in a symbolic reunion. 

At this profound moment, Mary’s black cloak is replaced with a bright blue mantle, representing the end of mourning and the joy of resurrection. Officially known as Parque Tres de Febrero, this urban oasis covers over 400 hectares (1,000 acres) and features serene lakes, lush gardens, and tree-lined walking paths, making it a favorite spot for locals and visitors to relax, exercise, and enjoy nature.


1. Rosedal (Rose Garden) – A stunning rose garden with over 18,000 roses, charming white bridges, and elegant statues, offering picture-perfect scenery.

Bosques de Palermo

Australia

Kakadu National Park is half the size of Switzerland and a real adventure. If you rent a car, you could drive along the road for weeks, camping in different places and experiencing nature in a way you can't anywhere else.

After leaving Darwin in a rented 4x4 jeep, we made the long drive to Kakadu National Park. Take plenty of drinks and snacks with you, as there aren't many stops on the road. Along the way, we visited several refreshing waterholes and waterfalls, had an open-air barbecue, and saw many birds, snakes, anthills, and farmland along the way.

At night we mostly stayed at campsites that provided tents, and the beauty of the night is incomparable. You can hear, smell, and see countless species of animals, from alligators swimming in lakes at night to dingoes howling, to weirdly chirping insects.

We hiked to a hidden waterfall and discovered some hundreds-of-years-old wooden paintings done by the ancestors of Australia's indigenous people. A must-see in Australia for sure!
