On April 5, 2026, join an emotional journey into the Easter traditions of Bosa, one of Italy's most picturesque little towns. Its typical colorful houses give it an extraordinary charm while its ancient architecture offers fascinating views at every turn. On Easter, you'll immerse into a deeply evocative experience that blends sacred and profane in an atmosphere of intense spirituality.

Led by a local expert and seasoned photographer, you will discover how the community of Bosa experiences Easter as part of a collective ritual that welcomes anyone who joins.The images you will take won’t be simple photographs but records of a strong sense of community and the bond between the locals and their traditions.
The ceremonies of Holy Week date back to the Middle Ages and are linked to the Spanish liturgy, as Spaniards dominated the island for a long time.

Joining the procession, you will observe symbols of faith and the emotional participation of the inhabitants. 

Bosa’s Easter celebration reaches its emotional peak with S’Incontru (The Encounter), a procession that takes place at dawn on Easter Sunday. Two separate processions begin their solemn journey—one carrying the statue of the Risen Christ, the other bearing the Virgin Mary dressed in black. As they wind through the town's narrow, historic streets, led by locals in traditional Sardinian attire, the atmosphere builds with anticipation. The climax unfolds in Bosa’s main square, where the statues meet in a symbolic reunion. 

At this profound moment, Mary’s black cloak is replaced with a bright blue mantle, representing the end of mourning and the joy of resurrection. This 3.5-hour architectural tour of Valparaíso, Chile, is led by local architect and master of urban planning Jaime Núñez. Jaime (also known as Ja Cariocandino) will introduce you to the city’s layered identity through a tour structured around ten public spaces that—in his expert opinion—are architecturally remarkable. The tour includes transport by private vehicle, punctuated by short walks designed to deepen your understanding of the urban landscape and local community.

Valparaíso's distinctive topography—with steep hills surrounding a narrow coastal plain—has shaped how people live, move, and build here. Rather than focusing on tourist hubs, Jaime’s route centers on spaces that have emerged organically through civic use and historical need. Traditionally used to decorate manuscripts, textiles, and ceramics, Ebru has been cherished in Turkey since the Ottoman era, blending artistic expression with meditative practice.

Set in a tranquil Istanbul gallery, this hands-on session begins with an introduction to Ebru’s rich history and cultural significance. You’ll observe a live demonstration by a master artist, learning the techniques of working with fabric—how to prepare the base, control the pigments, and create balanced, flowing designs. Using natural earth pigments, you’ll craft a vibrant scarf, watching colors float, swirl, and settle into intricate shapes before being transferred onto fabric. By the end of the session, you’ll take home a unique wearable piece of Turkish heritage.

Unlike traditional paper marbling, this experience explores the delicate and complex process of marbling on fabric, a technique requiring precision, patience, and expert guidance. Textiles absorb pigments differently than paper, making the final result even more dynamic and unpredictable—each piece is truly one-of-a-kind. Guided by Nesi, a master Ebru artist, you’ll learn the secrets of adapting marbling techniques to textiles, controlling color diffusion, and achieving stunning, fluid designs. With over two decades of experience, Nesime has been leading workshops at her Galatart Ebru Workshop in Istanbul since 2009. Her passion for preserving Turkish marbling has led her to explore its many forms, from bookbinding to fabric design. She has perfected the intricate process of transferring Ebru onto textiles, creating wearable and decorative artworks that honor this historic craft. Through her engaging workshops, Nesime not only teaches technique but also shares the rich symbolism and meditative qualities of Ebru, ensuring that each participant leaves with a deeper appreciation for this living tradition.

Hosted in the medina, the evening unfolds across three movements: a guided introduction to Sufi teachings, a live Hadra music ritual, and a shared dinner.
